The Hardest Part Isn’t What You Think… (For Overthinkers & Deep Feelers)

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act; the rest is merely tenacity.” — Amelia Earhart

Overthinking has a very convincing voice.

It sounds responsible. Thoughtful. Wise, even.

“I just need a little more clarity.” “One more piece of information.” “A better plan.”

But underneath all of that…

Not because you don’t know. But because deciding makes it real.

Overthinking success

1. Decide Smaller Than You Think You Need To

You don’t need a life decision.

You need a next-step decision.

  • “I’ll send the email.”

  • “I’ll post the thing.”

  • “I’ll try this once.”

Decisions don’t have to be permanent.

They just have to move you forward.

2. Set a Time Limit on Thinking

Overthinking expands to fill the space you give it.

So contain it.

  • 10 minutes to think

  • Then choose

Not perfectly. Just intentionally.

Clarity often follows action—not the other way around.

3. Practice Self-Trust in Motion

You don’t build trust by waiting until you’re sure.

You build it by:

  • Choosing

  • Acting

  • Adjusting

Over and over again.

The hardest part isn’t the work.

It’s the moment before the work.

The moment where you choose.

So you don’t need to figure everything out.

You just need one decision.

And then… the next step will meet you there.
