“Embrace what you don't know... it ensures that you will absolutely be doing things differently from everybody else.” — Sara Blakely
We treat “I don’t know” like a confession.
Like we’ve just admitted to stealing office supplies.
But not knowing? It’s creative oxygen.
When you don’t know the “right” way, you invent your way.
Here’s how to make peace with your clueless era.

1. Ask Beginner Questions (Boldly and Often)
Beginners ask questions experts forgot were allowed.
Why do we do it this way?
What if that rule isn’t real?
What if simpler works better?
Curiosity is rebellion against stale systems.
2. Replace “I Should Know” with “I Get to Learn”
“I should know this by now” is a joy thief.
Instead: “I get to learn this.”
That tiny shift turns shame into expansion.
3. Build Before You’re Certified
You do not need:
Every credential.
Every answer.
Universal approval.
You need momentum.
Many industry disruptors started with: “No one told me that wasn’t allowed.”
Not knowing is not incompetence.
It’s creative territory.
And sometimes the reason you’ll do it differently… Is because you weren’t trained to do it like everyone else.
